For this wedding we travelled out to Sisters, Oregon. Pretty decent drive for us so we got an Air BnB, which means brunch in the morning, and that always feels like a vacation. This was the weekend where Portland got up to 113 degrees, so it was nice to beat the heat at the Aspen Lakes Venue in central Oregon where it only hit 108:)

I’m sure Paige and Hayden were nervous like most folks on their wedding day, but we couldn’t sense that at all and we had the most relaxing time. Shooting a wedding is always lots of work between audio, lighting, and timing, but this whole day seemed to flow really smooth for us and their wonderful photographer Victoria Carlson.

I think my favorite moments of the day was listening to the couples vows. They were equal parts hilarious, and beautiful. The whole wedding day was just so thoughtful and still a really really good party. As you can see from the film, the couple had hired a painter to capture the ceremony, which was a first for us and way cool. Also when I was editing the film I was just nerding out with the sunset colors and how well the blacks were blending with the red flowers and the couples skin tones.
