We shot Kaydia & Matthew’s wedding at The Orchard in Hood River, Oregon. This is one of last year’s films and we got to shoot at this venue twice last year. The day was perfectly overcast, breezy, and an overall perfect day for a wedding.

Matt & Kaydia have a great love story, and a fantastic group of friends who had been with them from the start. It’s not mentioned in the film, but I believe the concert where they reconnected was a Wheezy show, which is awesome. Their vows were beautiful, their toasts were heartfelt, and their dancing was so so good!

So many cool parts in this film. I loved that they had that red ‘57 Chevy. We rarely film couples as the subject of drone shots, but it really worked with the car down below. Also there wasn’t your typical midday summer sun, so their first look moment just looked fabulous! Green is my favorite color to edit, and in the cloudy diffused light I was able to pull out the perfect colors. What a treat for a film nerd! And lastly, I loved the champaign pop. It’s always a bit risky with a wedding dress and a fancy suit, but definitely worth it in this case.

Loved spending the day with these two. We love our jobs:)
