We shot this wedding for Joey & Emily the day after Allison and Keaton’s wedding. So still lots of smoke from the fires, and though we had headaches from the smoke by the end of the day, the atmosphere was magic. I’m in love with the other worldly light in the portrait shots! Though the fires were weird, and covid created lots of problems, Joey & Emily were full of all the joy and anticipation that you would hope for on a wedding day. Lots of sweet moments, heartfelt words, and awesome dancing.

The vows that Emily & Joey wrote for each other were incredible. When making a film, having heartfelt personal vows or letters really gives us a lot to work with in how we can best represent our couples. Love to see it! Did you notice the gas masks? Also one of my favorite moments in the film is the running man dance Joey does with his groomsmen and sister. I’d never seen that before and I was crying laughing trying to film it lol.
