About Long Light Productions

Hello and so glad you’ve found me and my work! Hope these films put a smile on your face and a happy tear in your eye. My name is Chris Ratzlaff, and over the past 10 years I’ve shot hundreds of weddings. I’ve learned so much from each couple I’ve worked with and met so many incredible people. I only shoot weddings, and I find it amazing that even after all this time, I am still so moved and surprised by my couples and the films I get to create. There is so much more to a good wedding film than just beautiful cinematography. I love capturing real human interactions that ground a story in how your wedding day actually felt. I absolutely love capturing and creating fantastical beautiful moments, and I never forget the little details and personal interactions that make your wedding so unique. The only thing couples should be thinking about on their wedding day is… their wedding! There’s a lot to think about with timelines and vendors. My decade of shooting weddings has prepared me for most everything, and I make sure to coordinate with planners and photographers to ensure the day runs smooth. I believe being entrusted with your memories is such an honor, and it’s my life’s goal to give you a film captures the emotion of your wedding day.

When I’m not making wedding films, I’m hanging out with my three wonderfully feral children, writing records and playing shows with my band, drawing, surfing, and fixing up guitars. The majority of hours in my life have been spent on making art, and I’m so luck to have made a career out of it.

Whether in Portland Oregon, or anywhere, I’m so happy for you as you plan one of the most important days of your lives. It’s always such an honor to strategize, serve and party with my couples, and I’d love to be the one to document your wedding day.
